Module Summary:
Students learn what children's and young adult literature is, discuss the teacher's role in the classroom as a literacy model and literacy leader, and reflect on their own experiences with literacy. Students analyze a picture book using a "Picture Book Analysis Guide" developed by Dr. Frank Serafini. Finally, students create a Goodreads account to track their reading and to create an online reading log.
